Rachelle originally envisioned a gown that played with dreamy and minimalist contrast. Her first choice was a completely clean bodice totally devoid of lace or embroidery. She imagined this would transition into a dramatic hemline where 3D floral lace spawned from the bottom of the skirt. These oversized handcrafted petals were meant to bloom in thick clusters around her feet to create a heavy botanical weight at the base that slowly disappeared as it reached the top.
As we explored her personal style and considered the input of her loved ones she had a change of heart. She chose to move away from the bold dimensional pop of 3D petals instead she opted for a custom embroidery design that rests on the thigh area only. This specific placement gives the dress a distinctive character that serves as the key to her bridal beauty.
The final design is an off the shoulder dress with a neckline that sits just a tad below the shoulder. It features a custom embroidery top painstakingly accented with dainty beads for a bit of sparkle here and there. The A line silhouette cascades from the fitted bodice to accentuate her waist and flows into a sweeping train that trails with a sense of regal elegance. When the sunlight hits the intricate beadwork the gown shimmers and reflects the joy of the day. The mix of the meticulous custom embroidery and the delicate beadwork truly makes the whole look feel feminine and elegant.
The beadwork ran in delicate patterns, enhancing the enchantment of the gown and adding a touch of opulence to the bridal ensemble. It is about how the lace transitions into the sheer sleeves without a harsh line. The craftsmanship is visible in the way the floral appliqués seem to grow naturally from the neckline down toward the waist, creating a beautifully contoured effect that flatters the form without feeling rigid.
Rachelle found a sense of liberation and authenticity in this unexpected gown. It taught her that sometimes, the things we never chose can bring us the greatest joy and fulfillment. A wedding is a transition, and the dress acts as the visual bridge between who you were and the life you are starting. In Bacolod, weddings are community celebrations, and the bride stands at the center as a symbol of hope and beauty.
