Ethereal Whispers: Celebrating the Bride's Mesmerizing Presence

Bacolod is a city known for its energy and rhythm, so it makes sense that Souzette and Jan found each other through music back in high school. Souzette is an incredibly talented violinist, and that artistic background really influenced how we approached her look. She is a minimalist at heart, but she was also one of the few brides who trusted me completely to pivot from her original idea to something much more daring.

With her height and classic features, she could have easily worn something traditional, but I wanted her to have a royal vibe with a major edge. We landed on a bustier lace gown with an asymmetric sleeve design. It was a bold twist on a classic silhouette that really made her stand out.

We wanted something that felt just as intentional as the gown itself. This robe features a dusty rose sheer lace paired with intricate floral embroidery on the bodice. We added voluminous, tiered tulle ruffles to the skirt and sleeves to give it a sense of movement and drama. The soft textures and the way the fabric drapes make the behind the scenes photos look just as polished as the ceremony.

As a Bacolod fashion designer, I love creating these pieces because they elevate the entire getting ready experience. It allows the bride to start her day feeling like a version of herself that is already "bridal" before she even slips into her dress. For any Bacolod gown designer, seeing these intimate moments captured so beautifully is a reminder that the style of a wedding begins long before the walk down the aisle.

The gown featured an exposed corset with beadwork and sakura inspired lace. We used an innovative sculptural pleating technique to create a look of total grandeur. It was a perfect balance of elegance and modernity. One shoulder had a draped sleeve that showed off her skin while the other was sleeveless, giving the whole piece a contemporary feel.

I wanted the intricate lacework to provide a sense of timeless romance without the whole dress feeling crowded. The skirt was designed with clean, spacious drapes to balance out the detailed top. These folds in the fabric catch the light beautifully on their own, proving that the bottom didn't need any additional heavy embroidery to be captivating. As a Bacolod fashion designer, I find that the most successful looks happen when the details and the quiet spaces work together. This balance allowed the beaded corset to remain the true focal point while the rest of the gown provided the movement.

When we were designing Souzette’s gown, I really wanted to find a way to balance that regal, traditional look with something a bit more unexpected. We decided to incorporate a peek-a-boo mid-thigh slit, hidden right within the folds of her voluminous skirt. It was just enough to show a bit of skin and let her release her inner bombshell without ever feeling like it was too much.

As a Bacolod fashion designer, I love details like this because they give the bride a chance to stun everyone with a little bit of daring as she moves. It turned a classic lace silhouette into something with a major edge. Seeing it in action was a reminder that for a Bacolod gown designer, the best part is creating those "wow" moments that still feel completely sophisticated and authentic to the bride’s personality.

To give it that final dramatic touch, we added a next generation bow at the back. It was bold and voluminous, almost like a regal proclamation. I also suggested a hidden mid-thigh slit within the skirt. It allowed her to show a bit of skin and release her inner bombshell while still looking completely sophisticated as she moved.

Their wedding day felt like a perfect symphony of their shared dreams. These photos were taken by Maclaine Lights and Shadows. They are a fantastic choice for any Bacolod bride because they know exactly how to work with light to capture a bride’s true personality. As a Bacolod fashion designer, seeing a vision like this come to life is exactly why I love what I do.
